Pigott Ford Sales


Opened in 1961 by Ernie Pigott, Pigott Ford was known for selling high performance Fords. They were a former GM frnachise. When Pigott closed, it became Nortown Ford.

  1. As I understand it, Ernie Pigott sold the dealership to Harold Hadley who then turned it into Northtown Ford. When the Mustang was introduced in May of 1964, the dealership sales went through the roof and business was booming. I know as my mother had one of the first Mustangs delivered in Canada and it was sitting in my driveway with a crowd around it. I have a faint recollection as a kid of going to my grandfather's dealership and being allowed into the shop. the mecanics were working on the lightweight Galaxie rece cars. There was at least two at the time. Wish I'd had my Brownie camera with me at the time...
