Allan & Stacey opened in 1967 in Scarborough. In 1970, the dealership was sold to Don Seaton and he merged Riverdale Mercury with Allan & Stacey to create Birchdale Mercury Sales.
Birchdale became Birchcliff Lincoln-Mercury and was eventually owned by the same dealership group that owned Evans Mercury and Braemar Lincoln-Mercury. Birchcliff Lincoln Mercury closed in 2001.
